Job Title: Aerospace Buyer

Location: Merritt Island, FL

Type: 4 Months Contract + Possible Extension/ FTE

Job Description:

We are seeking a results-driven Aerospace Buyer with experience in tactical purchasing to support cross-functional program teams. The ideal candidate will have strong procurement, supplier management, and coordination skills to ensure timely material delivery and cost-effective sourcing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate procurement of materials, services, and products based on program requirements
• Identify long-lead items and collaborate with sourcing and program teams for supplier selection
• Create and manage purchase orders using Coupa and/or Costpoint
• Track order status, expedite deliveries, and resolve delays or discrepancies
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain accurate records and reports
• Support logistics to ensure timely delivery to production sites
• Manage returns, shortages, and non-conforming materials
• Drive continuous improvement within the supply chain

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of tactical purchasing experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or manufacturing industries preferred
• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Experience with Coupa, Costpoint, or similar ERP systems
• Certifications like APICS, CSCP, or CPM are a plus
