Job Description

We’re currently hiring Rider Assistants for a ridesharing company that provides safe and reliable transportation for children to and from school. This role is perfect for someone passionate about childcare and making a positive impact in the community.

Key Details:

• Pay: $23/hr
• Schedule: Morning & afternoon shifts available (minimum 10 hrs/week if working both)
• Location: San Bernadino County
• You won’t be driving —you’ll be riding along to ensure safety and provide support.

Requirements:

• 21+ years old
• Own an iPhone or Android smartphone
• Willing to be fingerprinted in San Bernadino County
• 3+ years of childcare experience (professional or non-professional)
• Passion for helping children and families

Our client is a ridesharing company that provides service to children in getting to and from school. Every day, school districts arrange transportation for hundreds of thousands of students who require highly specialized vehicles, equipment, or supports. This includes students needing an additional adult in the vehicle. The Rider Assistant WILL NOT be driving the vehicles, rather they will be sitting in the passenger seat while someone else drives. Their sole responsibility is to monitor the ride and make sure it's completed safely. Additionally, daily responsibilities include scheduling, reporting, and analysis!

Here is a breakdown of responsibilities and how time during your shift is spent: -45% of the shift the Rider Assistant will be in a vehicle. -40% of the shift the Rider Assistant will be waiting at the school for the rider to get out of school/waiting at their home to be picked up by the driver. -15% of the shift the Rider Assistant will be providing written reports on the rides, giving feedback, and scheduling future routes with our team.

Compensation :

$23/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
