Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Commercial Landscape Construction Head Estimator, located in Cleburne, TX. The Head Estimator will prepare bids in addition to managing and mentoring a team of estimators. Responsibilities also include coordinating with general contractors, developers, and property managers, ensuring accurate and competitive bids, and maintaining relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. The Head Estimator will be responsible for overseeing the entire estimating process for commercial landscape construction projects—from initial bid to final submission. This includes creating detailed cost estimates, analyzing plans and specifications, managing procurement processes, and ensuring timely and competitive bid submissions.

Qualifications

• Prepare and oversee detailed cost estimates for commercial landscape construction projects.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the estimating team to ensure efficient and accurate output.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to develop comprehensive bids.
• Collaborate closely with general contractors, developers, and property managers to align on project requirements and expectations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and reliable sourcing.
• Coordinate internal handoff of awarded projects to project managers and operations teams.
• Utilize the Aspire software platform for all estimating and bid management processes— strong proficiency in Aspire software is required.
• Monitor market trends and pricing to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial landscape construction estimating, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• In-depth understanding of landscape construction materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage bidding multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Must have the ability and proper documentation to travel internationally, when required.
