Job Title: School-Based Occupational Therapist (K–8)

Sumner, WA | Full-Time | Start Date: 8/19/2025

Partner District via Phaxis | 2025–2026 School Year

About the Role

Phaxis is partnering with a school district near Sumner, WA, to hire a licensed Occupational Therapist for the upcoming school year. This position serves K–8 students and offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative, student-focused team that values inclusive, functional support. New graduates are encouraged to apply —mentorship and onboarding support will be provided.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide occupational therapy services aligned with student IEPs
  • Help students develop fine motor, sensory integration, and daily living skills
  • Collaborate with educators, paraprofessionals, and families
  • Conduct evaluations and assist with IEP development
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Ensure documentation and services are compliant with state and federal regulations

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Washington OT License (or eligibility by start date)
  • Interest in or experience working with children

Preferred:

  • Experience with school-based or pediatric therapy
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfort working in inclusive classroom settings
