We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Civil Engineer for our Mineola, NY Office.

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of civil engineering analysis and design tasks related to: roadway and grading design, site plan layout, zoning analysis, site stormwater management, utility planning and layout, parking analysis and layout, vehicle maneuvering analysis, site ADA compliance
  • Support coordination and presentation of submissions with local utilities, municipalities, environmental agencies, and town planning boards
  • Perform site investigations to observe and document existing conditions
  • Complete and review design calculations; assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications
  • Support the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications and the coordination with other design disciplines as required to deliver high quality engineering services
  • Perform construction inspections and provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects
  • Utilize a broad assortment of technical and project management skills on projects that range from small site restorations to large scale new construction 
  • Attend professional industry functions
  • Support the development of technical standards and mentor-ship of junior engineering staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in Civil Engineering
  • NY PE required
  • Ability to provide guidance to junior level engineers
  • Understanding and application of code requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to multitask and consistently meet deadlines
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience a requirement.

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a comprehensive benefits package and a positive work environment. 

- Compensation: Min: $110,000 - Max: $135,000.  The range provided is the salary that the Firm in a good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined on the individual candidate's qualifications and location.
