A well-established plaintiff’s law firm in Columbia, SC, seeking a compassionate and motivated Workers’ Compensation Attorney to advocate for injured workers. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing workers’ compensation claims and is dedicated to securing fair outcomes for clients who have been hurt on the job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent injured workers in all stages of workers’ compensation claims, including hearings, mediations, appeals, and settlements.
• Conduct client interviews and provide legal advice and case strategy.
• Draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in depositions, medical evaluations, and administrative hearings.
• Communicate with opposing counsel, medical providers, and insurance adjusters.
• Negotiate favorable settlements for clients.
• Maintain detailed and organized case files.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the South Carolina Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience handling workers' compensation cases on the plaintiff or defense side.
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Compassionate communicator with excellent client service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases with efficiency and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience practicing in Columbia or across the state of South Carolina.
• Familiarity with SC Workers’ Compensation Commission rules and procedures.
• Proficiency with legal case management software.
