Position Summary:

Your primary role focuses on tracking, daily summaries, and managing truckload operations to meet and exceed assigned customer expectations. You’ll work closely with internal teams, carriers, and customers to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient delivery.

Within 6 months-1 year, it is expected to have training in order to manage pricing, scheduling, and booking of shipments as needed to support the team.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Operations Support Specialist at Tallgrass Freight Company, you will be a key player in ensuring the seamless movement of freight through our logistics network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tracking and Tracing: Monitor shipments in real-time, proactively tracking freight to ensure on-time deliveries. Update internal systems with accurate, up-to-date information to reflect the status of each load.
• Communication and Collaboration: Act as the point of contact for carriers and customers, providing timely updates and solutions to address any delays or changes in freight movement.
• Problem-Solving: Quickly address and troubleshoot issues related to shipment delays, routing changes, and delivery requirements to minimize impact and optimize delivery timelines.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of shipments, incidents, and communications. Obtain PODs, lumper receipts, or other required documents.
• Weekend and Evening Shift: Employee will be required to be on call for 1 weekend per month and 1 evening/night per week.

6 months – 1 year:

• Quoting: Focuses on quoting (TL, LTL and Rail)
• Building Loads – Building loads in our CRM, scheduling appointments
• Coverage – Posting loads, screening carriers, assigning drivers, putting drivers on tracking, sending Rate Agreements
• New Business: - Solicit via the phone/email for new business and dormant opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or freight operations is highly preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to handling operational challenges.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment.
