Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer

100% Onsite Near Wixom, MI

$110,000 – $120,000

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with 10+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing environments. This hands-on role requires expertise in process improvement, automation troubleshooting (especially Allen Bradley PLCs), capital project management, and lean manufacturing practices.

Must Haves / Mandatory:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with PLCs, HMIs, and drives
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (SolidWorks a plus)
  • Proven experience managing capital and process improvement projects
  • Preventative maintenance planning and execution experience
  • Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles

Nice to Have / Preferred:

  • CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience
  • SolidWorks proficiency

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Over a decade of hands-on experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering
  • Expertise in troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCs and related automation systems
  • Skilled in AutoCAD for layout and design; SolidWorks is a bonus
  • Demonstrated success in leading capital projects and lean initiatives

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues, including PLCs, HMIs, and drives
  • Develop and manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs
  • Design and optimize plant layouts and workstations using AutoCAD
  • Lead capital and process improvement projects, managing budgets and timelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational improvements and train staff on new systems
